The message may appear after the application is installed or when upgrading from Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. The cause may be that some files are corrupted during the installation process. In order to resolve the problem, perform the following actions:
- Download the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010: http://www.kaspersky.com/kis_latest_versions
- Make sure that you have an activation code to activate the application. More detailed information about what is an activation code and where you can find it is in the article KB2068.
- Download the removal tool for Kaspersky Lab's products and launch it on your computer. The step is described in the article KB26.
- Restart the computer after you have removed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
- Run the file (the application distributive) you download from the Kaspersky Lab web site.
- Install Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and activate it using your activation code.
